Falls prevention initiative run by an Occupational Therapist, Boosting Balance & Bone Health, is a 4-week program to learn about how you can improve your balance and strength, and maintain your independence. A speaker from Osteoporosis Canada will be presenting along with a Pharmacist, an Occupational Therapist and a Registered Dietitian.

Geriatric Addiction Rounds: Assessing risk for falls in older adults with substance use disorders

Participants will learn about the prevention of falls in older adults when there is a substance use disorder. They will also find out about tools for screening for substance use disorders in older adults. Finally, they will get an overview of assessing for risk of falls in older adults.

The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) is hosting a FREE Fall Risk Assessment for seniors in our communities. This event will be held at the Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, at 179 North Park Street in Belleville on Tuesday November 7th and Tuesday November 28th from 9:00am-12:00pm.
